SFS104S 5mm Aluminium Reducer Strip

SFS104 Heavy Duty Carpet Tile Ramp is designed for use where carpet tiles meet concrete or vinyl floors in high traffic areas.

The profile is specified to protect the edges of carpet tiles and provide a solid ramping for wheeled traffic such as shopping, stock or hospital trolleys.

Installation Instructions:
SFS104 5.0mm Diminshing Strip is designed to be used in conjunction with carpet tiles, reducing down to 0.5mm where it meets the hard surface. It is assumed that sub-floors have been prepared according to the relevant Australian/New Zealand Standards (ie. AS/NZ 1428).

1. Recommended fastening methods are bonded, (using a moisture curing high strength urethane adhesive or similar), or drill & plug using 9g x 32mm philips head screw.

2. Firmly retain the diminishing strip against the installed tiles to ensure no gapping. Mark out in a straight line and drill a 6mm hole through the trim, into the slab to a depth of not greater than 35mm, and secure using a plug and countersunk screw. Repeat this process down the length of the finish.

3. A bead of mastic adhesive or silicone can be applied beneath the diminishing strip to ensure that sub-floor irregularities are isolated.
