The Seam Weight includes an air space between the base and the steel weight and a perforated white plastic foundation to allow heat and moisture to swiftly dissipate. It functions better than a toolbox tray because it applies even pressure without rust or heat retention-related discolouration. Unlike a plywood base or toolbox tray, the white plastic base slides over the carpet without catching. Can be applied to seams using hot melt tape that is 3" or 6" wide. Measures 6" wide x 12" long x 3-1/4" high. Weighs 16 lbs (7kgs).
