Crain 569 - 11 3/4" Tapping Block
To ensure optimal performance and protection, the block features a relieved bottom edge on one side and one end. When in use, this relieved bottom edge is positioned over the tongue of the board that requires tapping. In this setup, the main body of the tool makes solid contact with the outer edge of the board, minimizing the risk of damage during the tapping process.
For enhanced control and stability, the tapping block is designed with a long "U-shaped" handle. This handle allows for better grip and increased resistance against undesired rotation when the block is hammered towards the end of the boards, as is often necessary.
In summary, this tapping block is a reliable tool for achieving tight and seamless joins between boards. With its durable construction, relieved bottom edge, and user-friendly handle, it provides the necessary control and protection required for successful board installation.
