The KOOLGLIDE Kool Stick hot melt adhesive works the best with the system.  The hot melt adhesive in the glue sticks is the same as in KOOLGLIDE carpet seaming tapes.  When the tool is activated, the seam sealer adhesive and carpet tape adhesive re-melt and combined to form a solid bond.  This bond greatly reduces seam peaking and hinging, and increases seam strength. CARPET SEAM SEALERS Hot melt or latex seam sealers can be used with the KOOLGLIDE system.

1). Rest lower lip of Fusion Carpet Welding Tip along the edge of carpet backing

Press trigger to get a good bead of adhesive to form.

2). Push the gun away from you applying a consistent bead of adhesive along one entire carpet edge.

Repeat on the second carpet edge.

3). During the normal seaming process, any iron will automatically reactivate the Traxx Glue Sticks.  Complete the weld by pressing the carpet edges together immediately behind the iron.
